Veggie Original Bratwurst fleishveganexperten

with curry sauce and sweet potato chips


• 2 LikeMeat Veggie Original Bratwurst
• 500 g sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into sticks
• 2 tbsp sea salt
• 5 tbsp olive oil
• Salt
• Pepper
• For the curry sauce:
• 1 onion, roughly chopped
• 1 garlic clove, roughly chopped
• 250 g tinned tomatoes
• 1 tbsp sugar
• 1 tsp curry powder
• 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
• 100 ml orange juice
• 4 tbsp herb dip, vegan


Season sweet potatoes with coarse salt and drizzle with oil. Spread out on a baking tray. Cook in a pre-heated oven (electric oven: 225°C/ convection oven: 200°C/ gas: see manufacturer guidelines) for approx. 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

To make the curry sauce, heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the onion and garlic until soft, sprinkle with sugar and caramelise. Add the tomatoes and sprinkle with curry powder, add the vinegar and orange juice and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and coarsely puree in a blender. Fry the Veggie Original Bratwurst in the griddle/pan in a little oil until brown and crispy. Remove the sweet potato chips from the oven and dish up with the Veggie Original Bratwurst and curry sauce. Serve with the herb dip.
